Evening with Coach Shanahan

Thursday evening Rich and I took advantage of a season ticketholder event and went to Redskins Park in Ashburn for the evening. While there we met Coach Shanahan and Larry Michael, the voice of the Redskins. It was super fun! Especially getting a tour of the facility and seeing all of the memorabilia - getting the excitement from the glory days!!! It was incredible to see the Lombardi trophies - and discovering that the names of each of the players and coaches is engraved on the sides. I enjoyed meeting the Coach and getting excited about next year's season - if there is one - I guess we'll just have to wait and see :-) I think one of Rich's favorite parts was when we got to see the studio where Redskins Nation is recorded. He looks very comfortable in the picture behind the desk, doesn't he???

Well, I've taken the plunge - I've created a blog. Many of you are probably thinking it's about time. It's something I've wanted to do, but always thought it was too hard. Well, it's not, so here I go. I know it will make it easier to keep everyone updated on our crazy lives here in VA. I'm will try to post pictures and short musings on life. You all know that I'm not a writer - so the posts will be short. Hopefully it will be entertaining and something that I manage to keep up with regularly.
